Every child needs to be taught that their body belongs to them and they have a right to protect it. Keeping this in mind an Adolescence Education Programme was held at Amrita Vidyalayam on 5th Aug with a view to bring awareness among children regarding ‘Good Touch and Bad Touch’.
At times we hesitate to take up and verbalize sensitive topics. It was a small stride by Amrita Vidyalayam, Ahmedabad to alert children about this susceptible topic. The goal solely was to inform children about the dangers, without causing any anxiety.
The A.E.P instructors interacted with the children with a view to generate adequate awareness and explained to them how to identify the ‘No Touch’ areas, understand who are ‘Safe Adults’ and how to clearly communicate with parents about any bad experience. It was followed by a PPT presentation, so that children had a better understanding of the topic.
