Welcome Day – A Graceful Beginning to the Academic Year 2026–27
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and at Amrita Vidyalayam, Ahmedabad, every effort is made to ensure that this step is taken with love, care, and divine blessings.
The commencement of the new academic year was marked with a dignified and heartwarming Welcome Day celebration held on 8th April 2026 for students entering the school campus. The event was thoughtfully organized to create a welcoming and nurturing environment, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
The school premise was aesthetically adorned with vibrant decorations and creative displays, presenting a festive and inviting ambience. The programme began on a spiritual note with invocation prayers, seeking the blessings of our revered Guru Amma, for a successful and fulfilling academic year.
In keeping with the institution’s cultural ethos, respected Swaminiji, Brahmachariniji, the Principal, and the Vice Principal formally welcomed the students by applying tika on their foreheads, symbolizing auspicious beginnings and goodwill. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and joy as students embarked upon their new academic journey.
The morning assembly was conducted with solemnity and devotion. The chanting of Amma’s Ashtotharam and the collective performance of aarti by students and teachers created a serene and spiritually uplifting environment within the campus.
The highlight of the event was the welcome address delivered by the Principal, who inspired the students to pursue their goals with dedication, discipline, and a commitment to excellence. The programme concluded with the distribution of prasad, leaving the students with a sense of positivity, unity, and contentment.
For our Pre-Primary students the first day was filled with joy, laughter, and excitement. Our little learners enthusiastically took part in a range of fun activities and interactive games, thoughtfully planned to make them feel happy and at ease. These engaging moments not only sparked their curiosity but also helped them build comfort and confidence in their new surroundings. With smiles all around, their first classroom experience turned into a warm, cheerful, and truly memorable beginning to their learning journey.
